SoleBoy X Kodak Black: Reimagining the Mystery Machine with Swag, Nostalgia, and South Florida Culture

Some ideas are so authentic, they feel destined.
Growing up, Scooby-Doo wasn't just a cartoon it was a core memory. Those colorful chases, the flower-powered van, the sense of playful mystery it was magic. Years later, while reflecting on creating a collection that felt both memorable and familiar, one vision immediately clicked: the Mystery Machine.
But re-creating it wasn’t enough. The mission was to reimagine it — to infuse it with SoleBoy’s signature flavor: streetwear with culture, nostalgia with edge.
Meanwhile, fate aligned. Kodak Black, a longtime SoleBoy supporter since 2014 and a Broward County icon, had just customized a van exactly like the Mystery Machine — complete with a South Florida twist: gold rims and candy paint energy. A nod to Broward and Miami-Dade’s iconic donk car culture, where Chevys sit high on polished gold and rose gold 22s and 24s.
The stars aligned two Broward County forces coming together to create history.
Kodak Black and SoleBoy Kid Ambassador Leilani, bringing the magic to life.
Kodak Black, the multi-platinum artist who first broke through with “No Flockin” and “Skrt”, has always been a symbol of raw talent and resilience. His journey from Pompano Beach to global stardom made him the perfect collaborator to represent the blend of street, culture, and creativity this project needed.
Instead of chasing beach permits and battling city red tape, the SoleBoy team decided: Let’s build our own beach.
Inside a studio, a summer world was handcrafted:
-
Real sand trucked in and spread around the Mystery Machine.
-
A sublimated fabric backdrop depicting a golden California beach sunset.
-
Palm trees, surfboards, beach balls, and vintage lawn chairs set the vibe.
The result? A dreamlike set where childhood memories and streetwear innovation collided.
Each piece in the collection was handmade, cut and sewn — featuring premium fabrics designed for a perfect custom fit and soft summer feel. Bold colors, familiar florals, and subtle nods to the 70s all remixed with modern South Florida sauce
.
One of the collection’s most unforgettable moments: Kodak Black modeling with SoleBoy’s young brand ambassador, Leilani.
It was bigger than fashion it was a rare, heartwarming glimpse at Kodak's softer side, a moment of pure authenticity not often seen across headlines or social media.
Kodak’s energy throughout the shoot was unmatched: professional, playful, locked in. A true artist, ready to help reimagine the mystery for a new generation.
This collaboration is more than just apparel it's an experience.
It’s the sound of South Florida summers, the smell of fresh sand, the feeling of riding in a candy-painted Chevy with the bass up and the windows down.
It’s what happens when two dreamers from Broward decide to bet on nostalgia, culture, and creativity and win. Check out the commercial : Click Here
